MEDICAL SCRIBING
In the allied health industry, a medical scribe is a paraprofessional who concentrates on recording doctor-patient interactions as they take place, such as during physical examinations. Additionally, they find information and patients for doctors and complete the paperwork needed for patient care.
Depending on the field of practise the scribe works in (where the context is implied), the role may also be termed as clinical scribe, ER scribe, ED scribe, or simply scribe. The management of health information and the use of health information technology are skills that a scribe has been trained in.
