                  A expert who helps a doctor record patient contacts is known as a medical scribe. The scribe often connects to the doctor's office while the doctor is treating a patient at his office or administering a treatment to a patient, working in real-time. 


The scribe is able to observe and hear the proceedings while painstakingly recording all relevant data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including clinical history, physical examination findings, laboratory test results, the number of patients visited, and other details. They must have computer skills, understanding of medical terminology, drug names, and knowledge of how to manage health information in electronic health records in order to enter data quickly while the doctor is attending to the patient.
